Class Offerings
Sling
Aerial Sling, also called Hammock, is one piece of fabric with the two tails connected to the ceiling at the same point to create a loop-like apparatus. You will learn skills to stand on the loop, hang from the loop, and wrap yourself in many different postures. As you become more comfortable, you can learn drops, slides, add spins, and dance.
Silks
Silks, also called Fabric or Tissu, is an Aerial apparatus made up of a long piece of fabric attached in the middle at the ceiling to create two long flowing tails. As you increase strength and comfort-level, you will learn sequences, drops, slides, and flips that allow you to descend the fabric with artistry and grace.
Lyra
Lyra, also called Hoop, is a steel ring hung vertically by one or two ropes. As you develop your Lyra practice, you will learn to spin the apparatus as you execute skills, poses, and eventually fluid transitions. Classes include warm up techniques, skill development, and workshopping.
Rope
Rope, or what is formally called Corde Lisse is one of the more challenging Aerial apparatus’ to work with. In this class you will challenge yourself to develop skills in sequencing, slides, climbs, and flips using one Rope or the Corde Lisse.
Acro
Acro is playful partner practice that builds community, strength, and connection. In this class you will practice basing, flying, and spotting another practioner. No partner or pre-requisites are required to participate.
Trapeze
Trapeze dance is performed on a short horizontal bar suspended from two ropes. Trapeze artists use the bar to perform a variety of tricks, flips, and maneuvers while in mid-air.

Meet Jasmine, our passionate Colorado-raised acroyoga teacher at the intersection of circus and yoga. Jasmine was first introduced to acroyoga in 2017 and has been hooked ever since an experienced base allowed her to revel in the joy of flying upside down, sideways and everything in between. In 2021 Jasmine received her 200 hr yoga teacher training from Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico and started a weekly acroyoga class and jam in the Vail Valley that has been going since. Through her experience teaching skiing, horseback riding, piano, math, chemistry, yoga and acroyoga, Jasmine has become an expert at fostering a safe and inclusive space where students can explore their edge, build trust and cultivate mindfulness. Join Jasmine to laugh and fly and joyfully play while basing, flying or spotting your new friends in the wonderful worldwide community that is acroyoga.

Lauren has been training and performing as an aerial artist since 2014. She has trained with and has been guided by top instructors around the world in Mexico, Canada, France, and beyond. She has plenty of sequences and tricks to share with you! Her degree in health and wellness mixed with her love of movement has led her to always improving her knowledge of body mechanics and longevity. Her classes will have an emphasis of conditioning, injury prevention, and nervous system regulation to help you reach your goals.

Alicia began her aerial career nearly 10 years ago in Boulder, Colorado. After a few years of training, she auditioned and was accepted to the professional training program at Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance. This consisted of training for 30 hours a week for 9 months. This accelerated her training and she was able to learn a variety of skills during this time. In 2018 she moved up to the Vail Valley and began teaching at PLAY in Minturn, and has been teaching ever since. She has performed at a variety of parties, events, festivals and loves to be on stage.

Founder of The Barn
Tracy is a 500 hour experienced certified yoga teacher (500 E-RYT) and founder of The Barn in Minturn, she has been blessed to be mentored by and studying under Shannon Paige: a rich and dynamic teacher, poet, and artist, who inspires her to be creative, thoughtful and entirely in love with the practice and teachings of yoga. In 2017, Tracy opened the doors of her Minturn studio: Peace Love Aerial Yoga, a happy home for aerial and alternative fitness where she helps her students recognize their innate beauty, grace and power. Now she invites students to The Barn to contiue this exploration. Tracy has been teaching Yoga and Movement Arts for over 20 years.

Kylin has been a dedicated mover her whole life, beginning her aerial arts training in 2016. In 2018, she took two sling teacher trainings with Born to Fly Curriculum and has taught at a handful of studios and events since then. She additionally became trained in teaching yoga through the Aarunya Yoga School 200 hour program in 2021. Kylin is passionate about fostering connection through authentic expression and sharing the ability to do that through teaching aerial dance and other forms of movement.

Corinne is a 200RYT with additional training hours for Aerial Yoga and Paddle Board Yoga. She began her yoga journey in 2015 and soon after became a certified instructor through Yoga Trekking International. Corinne then began training and performing circus arts with the guidance of her teacher Leisha Knight. She enjoys teaching foundational yoga, where movement with breath is the focus. Off the mat Corinne’s aerial yoga classes range from beginner to advanced. You can catch Corinne performing various circus apparatus such as sling and silks. You can’t miss her dancing through the crowd performing with silk fans, wings, and hula hoops! Corinne is passionate about sharing the beauty and adventure of life through teaching and performing.

The Barn Drop in/$30
This is our highest price point for an Aerial class, however, when you Drop-In you contribute significantly to our business and help to foster our community’s growth. We are so grateful when you come to class!
5 Class Pass/$140 ($28 per class)
There is a 6 month expiration date on our 5 Class Pass Bundle, so please keep that in mind. This Class Pass Bundle offers a lower option than the $30 Drop-In rate but works the same.
10 Class Pass/$250 ($25 per class)
There is a 6 month expiration date on our 10 Class Pass Bundle, so please keep that in mind. This Class Pass Bundle is great for students who comes to class about 1-2 times per week.
Aerial Open Gym Drop-In $20 / Unlimited Monthly Open Gym $79 per month
For the Aerialist who wants to regularly practice the skills they are learning outside of class, Open Gym is the perfect time and place.
Earth + Sky Membership ~ Monthly Unlimited for $198
Our Earth + Sky Membership includes access to all classes at The Barn. This is our comprehensive membership that covers both Aerial and Yoga classes and it is for the serious student who wishes to develop both as a student of Yoga and as an Aerialist.
Community Acro + Handstands/$20 Drop-In
Acro is playful partner practice that builds community, strength, and connection. In this class you will practice basing, flying, and spotting another practioner. No partner or pre-requisites are required to participate. The Barn offers one Acro class per week on Thursday nights.
